Meet Principal Nymann

Principal Jaime Nymann smiling

Enrolling in an immersion school is a unique opportunity and introduces our students and families to new cultures. Our community is top notch. At Woodcrest, we create an environment for learning a new language that is fun and challenging. Our students leave Woodcrest on the pathway to being bilingual and biliterate, while creating life-long friendships.

5 favs with Principal Nymann

  1. Favorite school lunch: Pizza, of course!

  2. Favorite school tradition or school activity: I like our Fun Run event that we do in collaboration with our PTO. It's one of the first community events we have each year and it's really fun to watch each grade level run the Fun Run track with their peers. It's great to have families attend the Fun Run during the day and at the celebration in the evening.

  3. Favorite part of your school day: I like the beginning and end of the day because I get to see so many students and families as they arrive at school and head home for the day. There are always lots of smiles.

  4. What was your favorite subject in school? Why? I liked Language Arts in school. I've always been interested in how language works and also really like to read. There is always something new to discover in a good book!

  5. Favorite hobby: I love to travel and have new adventures — I studied abroad in Venezuela in college and then lived in Mexico for a year teaching English. I also studied in Kenya.
